Quekly — Delete your account

Last updated: 29 August 2026

This page explains how to delete your Quekly account and everything stored under it. It is published by NUN Analytics and Research, Unipessoal LDA, the operator of Quekly and the controller of the data described here. For anything on this page, write to info@nun-ar.org.

Deletion is permanent. There is no undo, no grace period and no way for us to restore an account once it is gone — not for you and not for the clinic. If you only want to clear your conversation with the in-app assistant, the app has a separate control for that, and it leaves the rest of your account alone.

1. Deleting the account from inside the app

This is the fastest route and the only one that works instantly.

  • Open Quekly and go to your profile.
  • Choose Delete account.
  • Confirm. The account and its data are erased immediately, before the screen closes.

The app returns to its starting state. If you keep using it afterwards, it registers a new, unrelated anonymous identity — the old one cannot be recovered or reconnected.

2. If you have already uninstalled the app

Send a deletion request to info@nun-ar.org with the subject Delete my Quekly account.

Quekly accounts are anonymous by design: we never ask for an email address or a password, so there is nothing in your account that identifies you to us by name. To find the right account and to avoid deleting somebody else's, we need one of the following:

  • the appointment code from any booking you made (the code the app shows on the booking, or the QR code you were asked to present at the clinic); or
  • the clinic, doctor, date and time of an appointment you booked, together with the name you booked it under.

If you never made a booking, your account holds nothing but a random identifier and, if you answered the question, a single field recording whether you are male or female. There is no record we can match to you, and nothing in it can identify you. Uninstalling the app is enough: the identity becomes unreachable and rolls off with the retention periods below.

3. What is deleted

Everything held under your account identifier, in one operation:

  • the account itself, and the answer to the male/female question;
  • the profile you filled in — name, date of birth, phone number;
  • every appointment, past and future, including the name it was booked under; a future appointment is released, so the time becomes available to other patients again;
  • your entire conversation with the in-app assistant, and the summary made from it;
  • your consents to share that conversation with a doctor;
  • prescriptions issued to you inside Quekly, and their intake schedule;
  • reviews you left about doctors;
  • your language preference and any remaining technical keys tied to your account.

We verify this the blunt way: after a deletion, every table in the database is read and searched for the deleted identifier, and the deletion is only correct if it appears nowhere.

4. What is kept, and for how long

  • The clinic's audit trail. Clinics must be able to show what happened in their own booking system — that an appointment was created at a certain time for a certain doctor, that it was cancelled, and so on. These entries survive your deletion, but the link to you does not: your identifier is removed from them, including from the details recorded alongside. What is left describes an event, not a person. Kept for 12 months.
  • Anonymous safety counters. When the assistant detects a phrase suggesting an emergency, it records the category and a salted hash of the phrase so we can show the detector still works. These rows carry no user identifier at all. Kept for 180 days.
  • Backups. The database is backed up daily and the backups are kept for 14 days, so a copy of your data taken before the deletion can survive for up to that long before it rolls off. Backups are used to restore the service after a failure, never to look up individuals.
  • Records the clinic holds outside Quekly — on paper or in its own systems — are not ours to delete. Ask the clinic directly.

5. How long it takes

In the app: immediately. By email: we act on the request as soon as we can identify the account, and in any case within one month, as the GDPR requires. If we cannot identify the account from what you send us, we will tell you what else is needed rather than delete the wrong one.
